NADA Met Two Main KPIs Successfully

KAJANG, January 2, 2024 – The National Anti-Drugs Agency (NADA) successfully met both key performance indicators (KPIs) set for the year 2023.

NADA Director General, Tuan Sutekno Ahmad Belon stated that the two KPIs involved keeping the Drug Addiction Rate below 430 per 100,000 population and raising the Client Recovery Rate to 75 percent.

According to him, there were 386 recorded cases per 100,000 population as of September 2023.

“This signifies that NADA remains on the correct path, as evidenced by the achievement of the KPI.

“In retrospect to 2022, a total of 420 cases per 100,000 residents were documented, in contrast to the targeted goal of 440 cases.”

โ€œNevertheless, NADA has established a goal of 400 cases per 100,000 residents for Controlled Drugs by the year 2025, and it is imperative for us to meet this challenge in order to attain the KPI,” he remarked.

He made this statement during the New Year’s Message at the NADA January Monthly Assembly held at the NADA Headquarters on Tuesday.

Commenting further, Tuan Sutekno mentioned that for the second KPI, the client’s recovery rate has achieved 83 percent, surpassing the designated target of 75 percent from the previous year.

He explained that NADA has provided treatment and recovery for a cumulative total of 50,623 clients through the Treatment and Rehabilitation Program in the Community (RPDK). Within the period from January to November 2023, 15,425 clients underwent assessment, revealing that 13,022 clients, or 83 percent, have successfully achieved the level of recovery.

In contrast to 2022, NADA handled and rehabilitated 44,754 individuals struggling with addiction. Among them, 19,440 clients underwent assessment, and the results indicated that 14,008 clients, constituting 71 percent, attained the recovery level.

“This signifies that NADA has successfully met the challenge set by the Minister of Home Affairs by surpassing the initial target rate for this KPI, which is 75 percent. Furthermore, this achievement is evaluated through the Cure and Care Recovery Index (CCRI) method, and it has successfully attained the established KPI.”
