Role of Chief Digital Officer (CDO)

  1. Leading digital initiatives within the agency by leveraging data, analytics, and digital technology;
  2. Establishing a data-driven culture in the public sector that follows a principle-based approach through the use of data and digital technology;
  3. Transforming digital service delivery within the agency, with a focus on customer experience, based on the Whole-of-Government concept through innovation involving data sharing, open data, and emerging technologies;
  4. Assessing, coordinating, and validating the requirements of digital services, Technical Service Design, and development budgets, as well as managing agency as implementor of digital initiatives and projects;
  5. Leading change through the alignment of the Digital Transformation Strategic Plan (PSP) Agency with :
    • Ensuring alignment of the agency’s PSP with the Public Sector PSP and Risk Management and Change Management Plan.
    • Ensuring the availability of the agency’s Enterprise Architecture (EA) blueprint; and
    • Strengthening the agency’s digital governance structure and coordinating the use of global policies, standards, and best practices.
  6. Reporting on the implementation and progress of digital transformation to the Secretary-General (KSN) as the Chair of the Government Cluster under the Digital Economy and 4IR Council through the government cluster secretariat.
