A private drug rehabilitation centre is registered under section 16 of the Drug Dependants (Treatment and Rehabilitation) Act 1983 to conduct treatment and rehabilitation programmes and activities for drug addicts and persons significant to them, whether within or outside the premises

2. How does one apply for gazetting of a private drug rehabilitation centre?

Gazetting of a private drug rehabilitation centre may be applied for by sending an official application letter to the Director of the state NADA. The application must fulfil the stipulated terms and conditions.

3. How long is the validity period of the private drug rehabilitation centre registration certificate?

The registration certificate is valid for as long as the private drug rehabilitation centre is in operation and complies with the stipulated conditions.

4. What may be the grounds for a private drug rehabilitation centre registration certificate to be revoked?

When the private drug rehabilitation centre fails to comply with the terms and conditions for approval of its establishment as stipulated.
