National Anti-Drugs Policy Implementation Coordination Secretariat Unit (MGDN)

The MGDN Unit was established to carry out the Prime Minister’s first order in 2004. It has been issued to develop the coordination mechanism of implementing The National Drug Eradication Policy (MGDN) at the national, state and district levels. The implementation of MGDN involves strategic and smart partners, Malaysia’s commitment to ASEAN, as well as political commitment that can be integrated to address the drug abuse issues in Malaysia.

The order of the YAB Prime Minister No. 1 of 2024 has been enhanced and approved by the YAB Prime Minister, Dato’ Sri Anwar bin Ibrahim, on December 1, 2023. Amendments to the Prime Minister’s Order No. 1 were made to ensure that this coordination remains relevant and further strengthens the capabilities of the coordination mechanism in combating drug-related issues.
