MTMD: Negeri Sembilan is committed to the strategies to achieve Controlled Drug 2025

SEREMBAN, March 26, 2024 – The Meeting of the State Action Council for Drug Elimination (MTMD) Number 1/2024 was held on Tuesday at the Dato’ Klana Petra Room, Wisma Majlis Bandaraya Seremban, Seremban.

The meeting, organized by the National Anti-Drugs Agency (NADA), was chaired by the Chief Minister of Negeri Sembilan, YAB Dato’ Seri Utama Aminuddin Harun, who presented two briefing papers related to drug addiction issues in the state.

The Negeri Sembilan NADA presented the first briefing paper regarding the actions and implementation of Controlled Drugs 2024 Phase 1 and 2 in Negeri Sembilan, while the second briefing paper was from the Royal Malaysia Police Negeri Sembilan regarding the Drug Scenario report.

As a result of the presentations, the collaborative efforts received positive feedback from YAB Chief Minister as well as all other community leaders and department heads.

YAB Dato’ Seri Utama Aminuddin believes that outreach and community visits have a positive impact on target groups. He urges every government department, agency, and community leader to provide opportunities for clients in the community to implement programmes together to foster a sense of responsibility in fulfilling their duties.

Also present were the State Secretary of Negeri Sembilan, YB Dato’ Zafir Ibrahim; Chairman of the State Action Committee on Education and Human Capital Development, YB Dato’ Ismail Lasim; State Legal Advisor, YB Dato’ Muzalmah Mustapha Kamal; State Financial Officer, YB Dato’ Mohd Khidir Majid, and Deputy Director General (Operations) of NADA, Mr. Khairul Anwar Bachok.
