SUKAD 2023: Instilling team spirit, discipline

KAJANG, Oct 14, 2023 – National Anti-Drugs Agency Sports (SUKAD2023) by the National Anti-Drugs Agency (NADA) Sports and Welfare Club is capable of instilling teamwork, discipline, commitment, and fighting spirit among agency members.

Deputy Director General (Management), Mrs Shobah Jamil said, these values should also be instilled into our daily lives, especially when carrying out duties and responsibilities in our respective fields.

She believes that with this spirit, NADA could elevate the services provided to a higher level.

โ€œIn any organisation, the success of a task or a programme is not solely dependent on an individual.

โ€œIt must and should involve commitments and cooperation from every party, from the highest management level to the execution group.

โ€œJust like in today’s futsal game, it may be more difficult to penetrate the opposition team’s goal if only one team member has the desire to score goals and be the hero without the assistance of other members.

โ€œHence why, we should not practise working in silos in the office or organisation because it will not bring us the results and targets we want,โ€ she said as she inaugurated the SUKAD 2023 Dinner here, on Saturday.

In the meantime, Mrs Shobah added that team spirit is very valuable in terms of shouldering the responsibility and trust given.

โ€œIt will undoubtedly be more brilliantly and effectively implemented especially in succeeding NADAโ€™s programmes through the NADA i-Pulih Model, NADA i-Cegah Model, and NADA i-Prihatin Model. As a result, NADAโ€™s vision and mission will be achieved in realizing โ€˜Controlled Drugs 2025โ€™.

“In fact, the success of the 2023 SUKAD Championship organisation this time is the result of the cooperation of all parties at various levels, whether at the top level or otherwise.”

“This proves that if all of us work together and are united in carrying out whatever task is given, it will definitely yield the results we all hope for,” she said.
