Omnipresence and Outreach Program Receives Positive Respond From Community

KUALA LUMPUR, October 2nd 2021 – National Anti-drugs Agency (AADK) stays committed in intensifying anti-drugs campaigns among community by taking initiative to organize Omnipresence and Outreach Program in several targeted locations.

The program which is moved with cooperation from The National Security Council (MKN), Kuala Lumpur City Hall’s (DBKL) and the Royal Malaysia Police’s (PDRM) comes with an aim to give exposure regarding the danger of drug abuse as well as giving out information relating to drug’s prevention towards community.

Dato’ Dr Muhamad Sade Mohamad Amin, Deputy General Director (Operation) of NADA who leads the program says, it serves a purpose to spread information about implications of drigs towards individuals, families and communities. 

“Besides that, this program is also conducted to approach individuals who in dire need of treatment and rehabilitation including of changing stigma and believes among community about drug abuse.

“At the same time, it enables ‘a call-to-action spirit’ among communities and families in helping the government to combat drug abuse’s problem in this county.

“In addition, this Omnipresence and Outreach Program acts as a platform in spreading information towards individuals, families and communities regarding the importance to practice healthy lifestyle,” he adds.

He mentions it in Omnipresence and Outreach Program which is conducted simultaneously in Lembah Klang and Putrajaya, previous Saturday.

Also joins the program are Tuan Zainuddin Abdullah, Director of Prevention Division of NADA; Puan Nurshuhaila A. Rahman, Director of Pusat Pemulihan Penagihan Narkotik (PUSPEN) Sungai Besi and Puan Ruzliza Ibrahim, Director of PUSPEN Dengkil.

Explaining further, Muhamad Sade says that the program also involves Jawatankuasa Pemulihan Dadah (JKPD) and Sukarelawan Antidadah Wilayah Persekutuan. At the same time, he explains, NADA’s squad remains proactive in delivering anti-drugs message through outreach interaction and distributing pamphlets about drug abuse to public community there.
