SUNGAI PETANI, Nov 5, 2023 – All the modules and syllabus of the National Anti-Drugs Agency (PPA) Certification Program successfully obtained the Diamond Category Accreditation Certificate from the International Accreditation Organization (IAO) on Sep 18, 2023.

Director General of NADA, Mr. Sutekno Ahmad Belon said, the recognition thus allows NADA’s PPA to be accepted and recognized at the international level.

“In line with the desire and goal, the NADA Training Center in collaboration with the International Branch has been trying to get international recognition for PPA behalf.

“PPA module and syllabus has been audited by International Accreditation Organization (IAO) on Sep 18, 2023 and thank god PPA has passed the audit and is eligible to receive the Diamond Category Accreditation Certificate,” he said when speaking in conjunction with the PPA Commissioning Council here, on Sunday.

In the meantime, he hoped that the recognition would be a catalyst for NADA Training Center (PLAK) to market the program they offered to practitioners specialize in treatment and rehabilitation, prevention education and anti-drug enforcement at the international level, especially in ASEAN countries.

Meanwhile, Mr. Sutekno said, for the first time ever, PLAK has developed and implemented the Drug-Free Workplace Certification Program (PPA TEKAD) from 2022 and obtained the status of Registered Training Provider from the Human Resources Development Corporation Berhad (HRD Corp).

“PPA-TEKAD aims to provide the knowledge and skills of drug prevention education to employers and employees of private companies to realize the goal of a Drug Free Workplace 2025.

“Today (Sunday) NADA will celebrate the inaugural graduates of the program with the total number of 236 people among PETRONAS officers and staff.

“However, the chance is only given to 30 graduates and were specially invited and qualified to be certified as Certified Drug Screening and Testing Practitioners (Certified Drug Screening and Testing, CDST),” he said.
