NADA Sabah signs LOI between Majlis Belia Sabah

KOTA KINABALU, February 14th, 2022 – National Anti-drugs Agency (NADA) Sabah signs Letter of Intent (LOI) with Majlis Belia Sabah (MBS) to strengthen the effort in preventing drug addiction in the state.

Through the initiative, various prevention programs are planned by NADA together with MBS specifically in moving the anti-drugs campaigns involving youth community in Sabah.

Besides that, the cooperation is indirectly making MBS as an agent in helping NADA in conveying public awareness’ campaigns for the community.

According to NADA’s General Director, Tuan Sutekno Ahmad Belon, the cooperation tie is very significant in assisting NADA Sabah to force the effort of community in overcoming drug and substance’s issues in Sabah.

“Through this LOI, we hope that the cooperation between NADA Sabah and MBS will be able to conduct several programs especially drug’s prevention programs which focus on youth group.

“This cooperation is also hoped to intensify Anti-drugs Squad with the membership from MBS to join NADA in conducting mission not only on anti-drugs, but also other community services,” he said after witnessing Majlis Menandatangani LOI in here, Monday.

Meanwhile, NADA Sabah’s Director, Tuan Nani Sikin mentioned, the cooperation will also be a right platform to unite communities in entire Sabah,

“This ceremony is also seen as a symbolic of unity between government’s agency and non-governmental organization in effort to achieve the vision to protect Malaysians from drug’s threat.

“In this year, NADA Sabah always proceed with the effort to ensure the implementation of four phases of the greening of High-Risk Areas (KBT).

“Besides, we also conduct programs with focus by giving attention to KBT and we also have our eye on forcing the effort on community and target group,” he explained.

Cooperation tie between NADA Sabah and MBS aims to strengthen the effort in combating drug and substance’s threat in Sabah.
