NADA refuses to compromise with staffs involved with bribery, aberrancy

KAJANG, March 7th, 2022 – National Anti-drugs Agency (NADA) will not compromise with any agency’s staffs involved with bribery, aberrancy and integrity misbehaving.

NADA’s General Director, Tuan Sutekno Ahmad Belon stresses that integrity is the important instrument in management and administration of agency in order to ensure the responsibility in conveying service can be done smoothly at all levels.

“NADA’s staffs are encouraged to carry out tasks with honesty, sincerity, trust and applying moral values within themselves, and becoming good role model for others.

“Therefore, if there is any integrity breaching and bribery act within NADA’s staffs, then it has to be reported immediately to the responsible channel,” he says.

He says so during his speech in Majlis Menandatangani Nota Kerjasama Tempat Kerja Bebas Dadah (TEKAD) between Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (SPRM) and NADA in conjunction with NADA’s Monthly Assembly March 2022 in NADA’s headquarters in Monday.

Present during the ceremony is Deputy Chief of Commissioner (Prevention) SPRM, Datuk Seri Norazlan Mohd Razali; Deputy Chief of Commissioner (Management and Professionalism) SPRM, Dato’ Junipah Wandi and NADA’s Deputy General Director (Operation), Dato’ Dr. Muhamad Sade Mohamad Amin.

During the ceremony, Tuan Sutekno also leads in reciting Free Bribery Oath together with officers and staffs of NADA within entire country through face-to-face and virtual setting.

In related news, NADA also is in the effort to obtain Certificate of ISO 37001‘Anti-Bribery Management Systems’ (ABMS) in order to reduce the risk of bribery within agency.

“ABMS Certificate is a way to strengthen the integrity to avoid any weakness of Standard Operational Procedure (SOP) of agency which can allow the chance for bribery to occur.

“At the same time, through the certificate, it allows us (NADA) to manage the risk of obedience and soar the perception as well as the reputation of organization at public’s eye,” he explains further.
