NADA, IMPAC strong cooperation

KAJANG, July 28, 2023 – The Director General of the National Anti-Drugs Agency (NADA), Mr. Sutekno Ahmad Belon received a work visit from the Malaysian Plantation and Commodity Institute (IMPAC) at the NADA Headquarters here today.

Mr. Sutekno encouraged the involvement of NADA clients to participate in appropriate programs according to their interests and skill sets.

“We want to give them a second chance in life so that they (clients) can make a comeback to normalcy when facing the community so that they will be look upon as normal citizen and can be accepted by all,” he said.

IMPAC is a centralize parent institution under the Ministry of Plantation and Commodities (KPK) whose role is to lead and monitor the skills training courses and programs of the agencies’ training centers.

The agencies involved are the Malaysian Palm Oil Board (MPOB), the Malaysian Rubber Board (LGM), the Malaysian Timber Industry Board (MTIB), the Malaysian Cocoa Board (LKM), the Malaysian Pepper Board (MPB) and the National Kenaf & Tobacco Board (LKTN).

The work visit aims to further strengthen the already established relationship as well as intensify the cooperation between the agency and IMPAC, particularly in an effort to help clients increase their level of skills through the programs offered.

Among the programs offered by IMPAC are in the fields of oil palm, rubber, timber, cocoa, kenaf and pepper.

Also present were the Director of NADA’s Treatment, Medicine and Rehabilitation Division, Siti Mariam Mursidan; Chief Assistant Director (Career and Vocational) NADA, Chong Siew Ngoh; Chief Assistant Director (Policy and Rehabilitation Development) of NADA, Bushro Ahmad.
