BENTONG, December 6, 2023 – The National Anti-Drugs Agency (NADA) established two main benchmarks to measure key performance indicators (KPI) in the NADA Strategic Plan 2023.

According to Tuan Sutekno Ahmad Belon, Director General of NADA, the two benchmarks represent the efforts in minimising the rate of drug users (not exceeding 400 individuals per 100,000 population).

Meanwhile, the second benchmark involves efforts to increase the client’s recovery rate up to 80 percent by 2025.

“The purpose of this retreat is to assess the implementation and achievement of key performance indicators (KPI) for the five main cores of the year 2023.”

“In addition, this retreat was held to ensure that issues that arise during the implementation of the NADA Strategic Plan 2023 can be dealt with more efficiently.”

“It is hoped that this effort can strengthen the participants’ bonds and cooperation to avoid a culture of working in silos in finalizing the way forward for the implementation of the NADA Strategic Plan 2024,” he said here on Wednesday.

He said this while officiating the NADA 2024 Strategic Planning Retreat at the Management Level and Appreciation Ceremony for the Head of the Responsibility Center (PTj) at the Housing and Local Government Training Institute (I-KPKT), in Bukit Tinggi, Pahang.

Also present was Deputy Director General (Operations) Tuan Khairul Anwar Bachok and 75 participants consisting of division directors, unit heads, state NADA directors and the director of the Narcotics Addiction Recovery Center (PUSPEN).

In the meantime, Tuan Sutekno added that the 2021-2025 NADA Strategic Plan includes five main cores: Core 1 Prevention Education; Core 2 Treatment, Medication and Rehabilitation; Core 3 Enforcement and Security; Core 4 International Relations; and Core 5 Organizational Strengthening.

“Hopefully, this can be a platform for NADA members to contribute ideas related to 2023โ€™s performance while determining the direction to implement NADA Strategic Plan for 2024,” he said.
