NADA, host its Rehabilitation Appreciation National Level Day 2023 theme Transparency and Courtesy for Civil Rehabilitation

AMPANG, Nov 17, 2023 – The program themed ‘Transparency and Courtesy for CIVIL Recovery’ was chosen as a sign of appreciation and thanks to all the driving forces effort to deliver NADA services in conjunction with the NADA Recovery Appreciation National Level Day Program in 2023.

Deputy Home Minister, YB Datuk Seri Dr. Shamsul Anuar Nasarah said, compassion and a caring attitude need to be ingrain in each person in order to be more aware of drug issues and problems in all levels of society.

He explained, support entities such as the client’s family, Pembimbing Rakan Sebaya (PRS), Recovery Mentors play an important role in developing enthusiasm personality within the client.

“Therefore, a comprehensive role in all levels of society to eliminate the negative stigma for those who have been involved in drug abuse needs to exist.

“I believe that with NADA’s cooperation with the combination of other supporting entities, the drug problem that has existed for a long time can be successfully overcome,” he said.

He said this while speaking at the closing ceremony of the NADA Recovery Appreciation National Level Day 2023 program here, on Friday.

Also present were the Deputy Secretary General (Security) of the Ministry of Home Affairs, Datuk Abdul Halim Abdul Rahman; NADA Director General, Mr. Sutekno Ahmad Belon and Deputy Director General (Operations) Khairul Anwar Bachok.

Meanwhile, The Honourable Datuk Seri Dr. Shamsul Anuar Nasarah hopes that all participants will be able to obtain useful information throughout the program so that it can be used as preparation and guideline while facing the challenges of drug influence in the future and to be able to maintain their recovery.

“It must be remembered that recovery is a lifelong process. If youโ€™re spiralling, then take an initiative by using oneโ€™s own strength and spirit to get back up,” he said.
