MTMD, Johor passed two consideration papers

JOHOR BAHRU, June 19, 2023 – The Johor State Anti-Drugs Action Council (MTMD) first meeting of 2023 was held at Dato’ Jaafar Muhammad institution, Iskandar Puteri, Johor on Monday.

The meeting which lasted for two hours was chaired by the Chief Minister of Johor, YAB Datuk Onn Hafiz Ghazi.

In his keynote speech, the honorable minister will implement and aimed for all 17 high risk areas (KBT) in the state of Johor to be a fit environment for mother nature (greenery) by the end of next year.

Meanwhile, two consideration papers were approved at the meeting, namely the Pemerkasaan Peranan Duta Perpaduan and Jiran Muda Through the Drug Prevention Education Program by the Johor Department of National Unity and National Integration and the Drug-Free Workplace Certification Program (TEKAD) by the National Anti-Drug Agency (NADA) state of Johor.

Both of these efforts are to ensure that the KBT greening can be realized by the parties concerned.

In addition, an information paper was also presented regarding the achievement of KBT’s greening for the year 2022.

Earlier, NADA Deputy Director General (Operations), Dato’ Dr Muhamad Sade Mohamad Amin paid a courtesy call on the Chairman of the Health and Unity Committee, YB Ling Tian Soon and the honorable Minister of Johor.

Furthermore, after the meeting, Dato’ Dr Muhamad Sade took the opportunity to oversee the Tampoi Narcotic Addiction Rehabilitation Center (PUSPEN) project site that is currently  involved in redevelopment.

Also present at the meeting were the Deputy Secretary of the Johor State Government, Mrs. Shubanah Yusuf; Johor State NADA Director, Azli Ubin; and Chief Assistant Director (Secretary of Coordination of the Implementation of the National Drug Prevention Policy) of NADA, Mohd Nadmin Ramlan.
