Improving NGOs through TOT programmes

JITRA, March 2, 2024 – The National Anti-Drugs Agency (NADA) of Kubang Pasu District have successfully executed the ‘Training of Trainers’ Programme for a few non-governmental organisations (NGO) at Pejabat KEMAS, Malau, today. 

The programme aims to train NGOs involved in drug prevention, social deviance, welfare, and promoting healthier lifestyles through lectures and group training sessions (LDK).

Among the NGOs participating in the TOT session are the Kubang Pasu District Anti-drug SKUAD, Kubang Pasu District Drug Rehabilitation Committee (JKPD), Malaysia Crime Prevention Foundation of Kubang Pasu District, PEMADAM Kubang Pasu, Kubang Pasu District Youth Council (MBDKP), YES! POLIMAS, MamaCare, Association of Hopeful Light, Malaysian Islamic Youth Movement (ABIM), and COMBI Kubang Pasu District.

The Assistant Anti-drugs Officer of Penang State NADA, Nor Hajar Aswat Kamis, and the Chairman of JKPD Kubang Pasu District, Nurun Ihsan Hasbullah delivered the lectures.

In her brief speech, the Chief of Kubang Pasu District NADA, Norhiza Lah, expressed hope that through this programme, participants can acquire the knowledge and skills needed to disseminate awareness while playing an active role in drug prevention efforts and develop a healthy and quality community.

“We hope that this NGO TOT programme will positively impact drug prevention efforts and promote healthier lifestyles in the local community,” she said.
