KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 17, 2023 – Eight Committee Members (AJK) of the Malaysian National Anti-Drugs Agency Officers’ Association (PPAD), led by its President, Mohd Azlan Ahmad, paid a courtesy visit to Dato’ Dr Adnan Mat, President of The Congress of Unions of Employees in the Public and Civil Services (Cuepacs), at Wisma CUEPACS, on Tuesday.

The meeting was convened following the appointment of the new PPAD Committee on April 13 2023, to introduce PPAD and the aims of its establishment to Cuepacs.

Cuepacs listened to Mohd Azlan’s briefing and PPAD activity planning throughout the session, which emphasised the development of NADA officers’ professionalism and the enhancement of service quality based on NADA’s mission.

At the same time, the welfare of NADA officers was also mentioned as an effort made at the agency level by PPAD.

Meanwhile, Dato’ Dr Adnan also expressed his willingness to help PPAD in realizing the plan voiced by providing special officers from Cuepacs to help PPAD’s activities.

Throughout the meeting, Dato’ Dr Adnan opened the opportunity for high-level Cuepacs officials to meet with the PPAD delegation and discuss current issues linked to the country’s drug usage situation, as well as the chance to push the anti-drug campaign in the public sector.

The meeting led to the possibility of long-term cooperation, as the President of Cuepacs wished to conduct an extended meeting in the future to assist PPAD in achieving its goals.
