85 NADA officers received the NADA PPA Practice Certificate

SUNGAI PETANI, Nov 5, 2023 – The National Anti-Drugs Agency (NADA) held the second NADA Certification Program (PPA) Commissioning Ceremony at the NADA Training Center, Sungai Petani, Kedah here today.

PPA is an annual event organized by NADA aimed at giving recognition to NADA officers who achieved the overall competencies needed and are commissioned as Certified Practitioners in NADA’s three core services namely Treatment and Rehabilitation, Prevention Education and Enforcement.

Director General of NADA, Mr. Sutekno Ahmad Belon said, PPA was first introduced in 2021 to give exposure and equip NADA officers with knowledge, comprehensive and evidence-based skills as a complement to authoritative and professional services.

“For this year, a total of 385 NADA officers received the NADA PPA Practice Certificate for the three consecutive certifications.

“Well done and congratulations to all the successful graduates in the programs.

“Hopefully it will have a positive impact in dealing with drug problems in the country and realizing Controlled Drugs 2025 as well as increasing the discipline and authority of all of you in delivering services,” he said.

He said while speaking in conjunction with the PPA Commissioning Ceremony here, on Sunday.

Also present were Deputy Secretary General (Security) of the Ministry of Home Affairs, Datuk Abdul Halim Abdul Rahman; Deputy Director General (Management) of NADA, Madam Shobah Jamil and Deputy Director General (Operations) of NADA, Mr. Khairul Anwar Bachok.
