SUBANG JAYA – Nov 11, 2022 – The National Anti-Drug Agency (NADA) has taken the initiative to established a support system group which are the key success factor in maintaining the recovery of clients who follow the treatment and rehabilitation program at the agency.

Director General of NADA, Tuan Sutekno Ahmad Belon said, the support group consists of Ahli Jawatankuasa Pemulihan Dadah Daerah (JKPD), Ahli Lembaga Pelawat (ALP), Pembimbing Rakan Sebaya (PRS) and Mentor Kepulihan AADK from all over the country.

He said, the function and role of the group is very important in fulfilling the recovery needs and criteria for an individual in the recovery process.

“We are aware that the efforts to restore and maintain their recovery is difficult and we needed to provide four Recovery Capitals, such as Human Capital, Social Capital, Economic Capital and Cultural or Religious Capital to each of our clients.

“Therefore, the majority efforts given to clients are categorized as Social Capital which is one of the components in i-Pulih Model AADK.

“On that basis, entities such as JKPD, ALP, PRS and NADA recovery mentors are strengthened once in a blue moon and become NADA closest Smart Partners, as the saying goes ‘Bagai Aur dengan Tebing’. Recovery efforts are incomplete without the commitment and support from the agency mention,” he said.

“I was informed that a total of 315 consisting of JKPD, ALP, PRS and AADK Recovery Mentors are present tonight.

“This clearly shows the symbolism of togetherness, supportive, commitment and understanding in realizing the aspiration that recovery is not impossible to achieve,” he said.
