KUCHING, 13 July 2022 – General Director of NADA, Tuan Sutekno Ahmad Belon went for a working visit to NADA Sarawak in Kuching, on Wednesday.

The goal of the working visit is to have face-to-face meetings with the staff and the Head of each NADA district in Sarawak to ensure that tasks are being carried out in accordance with the agency’s standards.

Iskandar Turkee, Director of the Sarawak State NADA, provided the Director General with a briefing on operations and work that centred on two key performance indicators (KPIs), namely raising the recovery rate and lowering the addiction rate.

The NADA i-Cegah Model is used to administer a variety of activities, including prevention education programmes and public awareness campaigns, in an organised way to prevent people from developing drug issues.

The Community Treatment and Rehabilitation Program (RPDK) and the Institutional Treatment and Rehabilitation Program (RPDI), both of which are based on the NADA i-Pulih Model, are two free treatment and rehabilitation programmes that NADA offers to those struggling with drugs and substance addiction issues.

Meanwhile, NADA has increased its efforts to find and follow those who struggle with drug addiction in every region of the country in order to protect the vulnerable and the general population. The NADA i-Prihatin Model is used to carry out both voluntary offers of rehabilitative treatment and law enforcement activities.

Additionally, Tuan Sutekno also conveyed messages, advice, and reprimands to staff in order to perform their responsibilities with trust and integrity.

Director of NADA Treatment, Medical and Rehabilitation Division, Siti Mariam Mursidan; Chief Assistant Director (Rehabilitation in the Community), Dr Nazira Sadiron and NADA Religious Affairs Officer; Teacher Afifuddin Abdulmuiz Hamid were also present in the visit to make it a success.

Working visit to PUSPEN Kuching

Meanwhile, Tuan Sutekno held a working visit to Pusat Pemulihan Penagihan Narkotik (PUSPEN) Kuching, Sarawak.

The purpose of the working visit was to meet NADA family at PUSPEN Kuching and to make sure that everything was running smoothly in terms of the environment, activities, and the performance of duties.

Director of PUSPEN Kuching, Yuliani Yahya, briefed the Director General on the operation and work to ensure that the efforts to treat the client’s recovery can be implemented into a lifetime during the session.

Additionally, Tuan Sutekno also conveyed messages, advice, and reprimands to staff in order to perform their responsibilities with trust and integrity.

At the same time, Tuan Sutekno had a conversation with the staffs and visited the PUSPEN Kuching facility which is categorized as multifunctional.

The Director of NADA’s Treatment, Medical, and Rehabilitation Division, Siti Mariam Mursidan, was also present during the visit.
