The PUSPEN environment is among the sustaining factors of client recovery

RAUB, 14 July 2022 – Deputy Director General (Operations), National Anti-Drugs Agency (NADA), Dato’ Dr Muhamad Sade Mohamad Amin conducted a review of the operation and treatment of clients at Pusat Pemulihan Penagihan Narkotik (PUSPEN) Raub, Pahang.

During the visit, Dato’ Dr. Muhamad Sade emphasised the need for PUSPEN’s environmental aspects to be in good condition because they are crucial to maintaining clients’ recovery.

The Director of PUSPEN Raub, Mohd Rizal Tawil, gave him a briefing on the operation and work being done to ensure that the recovery from a lifelong drug addiction can be implemented before he interacted with the NADA family at PUSPEN.

Dato’ Dr. Muhamad Sade also gave staff members messages and suggestions on how to carry out their duties with honesty and integrity.

In addition, Dato’ Dr. Muhamad Sade spent time visiting patients, encouraging them to persevere through treatment until they recovered.

Zirwatul Ahlam Zamzam, the Director of NADA in Pahang, and ASP Faizol Effendy Hassan, the Assistant Director of NADA’s Enforcement and Security division, attended the visit session as well.

The client’s recovery can be sustained by the NADA i-Pulih Model.

During the meeting, Maizura Zakaria, the Director of PUSPEN Sungai Ruan, gave a briefing on the operation and work being done to ensure that drug addiction recovery can be successfully implemented.

At the same time, he gave staff members messages and counsel on how to carry out their duties with trust and integrity. He also asked all officers to concentrate on putting the NADA i-Pulih Model into practise for patients receiving treatment.

The NADA i-Pulih Model is used to treat clients’ rehabilitation in institutions, and it is comprehensive and holistic, ensuring that clients who adhere to the Treatment and Rehabilitation in Institutions (RPDI) programme maintain their recovery for life.

Additionally, he had the chance to go to the PUSPEN Sungai Ruan facilities and speak with the client families who had come to see their loved ones who were receiving treatment there.

Lt Col (K) Datuk Abdullah Abu Bakar, the Chairman of the NADA Board of Visitors Council, Zirwatul Ahlam Zamzam, the Director of the Pahang State NADA, and ASP Faizol Effendy Hassan, the Assistant Director of the NADA Enforcement and Security Division, were also present at the visit session.
