LANGKAWI, 11 June 2022 – In accordance with World Tuberculosis Day National Level 2022, Tuan Sutekno Ahmad Belon, Director General of the National Anti-Drug Agency (NADA), received the book Guidelines on Tuberculosis Control in Drug Rehabilitation Centers (Pusat Pemulihan Penagihan Narkotik (PUSPEN)) from Deputy Minister of Health I, YB Dato ‘Dr Hali Noor Azmi Ghazali.

The second edition of the guideline book is intended to strengthen PUSPEN’s tuberculosis prevention and control programme.

Another goal of the book is to increase tuberculosis knowledge and awareness among PUSPEN clients and staff, as well as to detect early cases of tuberculosis during client admission.

Furthermore, the book can be used to control and prevent tuberculosis infection in PUSPEN, as well as strengthen tuberculosis treatment management in PUSPEN.

Earlier on Saturday, YB Dato ‘Dr Noor Azmi officiated the celebration at Telaga Walk in Pulau Langkawi, Kedah.
