KAJANG, February 16, 2024 – The National Anti-Drugs Agency (NADA) has launched the Calender for the Celebration of Peringatan Hari Antidadah 2024 at the NADA Headquarter Auditorium, Kajang on Friday.

The Peringatan Hari Antidadah 2024 Celebration aims to be a reminder for the Malaysian community. It also strengthens the commitment and responsibility of every party involved in battling drug threats, other than fostering collaboration among various entities including government agencies, private sectors, and non-government organisations (NGOs), as well as leaders in holistic drug prevention efforts.

According to the Director General of NADA, Tuan Sutekno Ahmad Belon, a strong fortress of self-defence must begin at home and this demands sacrifices as well as continuous efforts from the family to make sure that the fortress remains strong.

“Therefore, NADA will continue to maintain the theme and message of ‘Lebih Baik Cegah’ (Prevention Is Better) and ‘Pencegahan Dadah Bermula Dari Rumah’ (Drug Prevention Starts at Home) here,” he said during his speech for the Calendar of Peringatan Hari Anti-Dadah 2024 Celebration Inauguration here.

In the ceremony, a total of 20 main programmes have been planned out in the Calendar other than the variety of activities at the state and district level that will be implemented from February to June 2024.

Among the programmes include NADA Together with the Community Programme, National Drug Addiction Science Symposium, Jerayawara, and more.

Also present were the Deputy Director-General (Management), Mrs Shobah Jamil, Deputy Director-General (Operation), Tuan Khairul Anwar Bachok and the Prevention Division Director, Zainudin Abdullah.
