Malaysia has participated in the Drug Abuse Information Network for Asia and the Pacific (DAINAP) Focal Points meeting organized by the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) was held virtually on 29th April 2022. Delegation from Malaysia, lead by Puan Hafidah binti Mohd @ Maasom, Principal Assistant Director (Research), comprises of officers from NADA Malaysia and Narcotics Criminal Investigation Department (NCID), Royal Malaysia Police (RMP). Pursuant to the first and second DAINAP meeting held on 26th February 2021 and 29th September 2021, the meeting aims in enhancing DAINAP reporting system. This essential element of online data submission is to establish regional system to collect, process and disseminate drug abuse information from national counterparts in participating countries in order to monitor drug abuse patterns and trends in the region.
