Reference for Former Drug Addicts : Understanding Drug Abuse and Its Effects

Who has the biggest influence in your life?

Of course it is you.

Speaking from past experience, I know that we choose our own course in life. Parents, relatives, teachers, and friends can help you along but you alone make the decision to choose.

I used to choose drugs, but now I know it was a bad choice. I regret it.

You can protect yourself from making bad choices by:

•    Learning about the dangers of drugs, and their effect on the human mind and body.
•    Open up. Talk to your parents, teachers, close friends if you have any problems. A shoulder to cry on, or a kind ear that listens, can go a long way towards making you feel better when you’re down
