‘Young Leaders Talk’ program with the Chief Minister of Sabah

KOTA KINABALU,  March 6, 2023 – The Sabah State National Anti-Drugs Agency (AADK), the Ministry of Home Affairs held a Young Leader Talk Program with the Chief Minister of Sabah, YAB Datuk Seri Panglima Hajiji Noor in conjunction with the Sabah Anti-Drugs Day Commemoration 2023.

The program held at Sipadan Hall, Sabah International Convention Center (SICC), Kota Kinabalu, Sabah involved the presence of 500 people consisting of volunteers from the Anti-Drugs Squad, young leaders and the youth of Sabah.

Datuk Seri Panglima Hajiji said, I have high hopes for NADA and MBS to work together to ensure that these drug prevention education programs can be implemented in high-risk areas.

โ€œThe youth as a light of hope for the next generation should support the “Lebih Baik Cegah” campaign because prevention starts at home.โ€œ, he said while officiating the ceremony.

The program aims to foster and strengthen unity among leaders and empower community leaders to help spread and increase community awareness on drug abuse.

Furthermore, Datuk Seri Panglima Hajiji spent time sharing about his leadership in Sabah and the challenges in dealing with drug problem in the community with the youth in the state.

At the same time, the Chief Minister of Sabah also presented prizes to the winners of the Buskers Tour Competition which was part of the celebration in addition to the Pocket Talk session and exhibition.

Also present to enliven the program were NADA Deputy Director General (Operations), Dato’ Dr Muhamad Sade Mohamad Amin and Sabah State NADA Director, Nani Sikin.
