Melaka, July 29th – Mesyuarat Majlis Tindakan Membanteras Dadah (MTMD) Bilangan 1/2021 Peringkat Negeri Melaka was held in Bilik Mesyuarat Tun Ali Seri Negeri, Ayer Keroh, through video conference.
The meeting was chaired by YB Datuk Rahmad bin Mariman, the Chairman of Health and Anti-drugs’ Action Committee Negeri Melaka, as he was representing YAB Datuk Seri Haji Sulaiman Bin Md Ali, Chief Minister of Melaka.
Some of the important matters decided during the meeting included a call-out by the Chairman for all departments, agencies, non-governmental organizations (NGO) and community leaders to sharply help and collaborate together with National Anti-drugs Agency (NADA) in succeeding the effort of achieving Dadah Terkawal towards 2025.
The state’s government had approved an allocation amounted RM300,000 to implement Program Fokus 5 Tahun Melaka Perangi Dadah: Penghijauan 10 Kawasan Berisiko Tinggi (KBT). Meanwhile, the allocation for Program Zakat Asnaf Ar-Riqab dalam Memperkasakan Program Rawatan dan Pemulihan Orang Kena Pengawasan (OKP) Negeri Melaka was approved by Majlis Agama Islam Melaka (MAIM).
Meanwhile, Smart Partnership between NADA, MAIM and Jabatan Agama Islam Melaka (JAIM) in empowering and reinforcing religious programs as well as aids for OKP and and their families in Melaka will be expanded.
Besides that, the issue of drugs’ addiction and smuggling in Port Penagihan Krubong had been highlighted in the meeting and will be taken to Mesyuarat Kerajaan Negeri Melaka to gain cooperation and action from the owners of land in Krubong area.
In the meeting, Tuan Othman bin Mohamed Nazari, Director of Policy, Planning and Research Division, had represented NADA’s General Director.
