Working Visit Of NADA’s General Director To Kelantan

Kelantan, July 12th – A working visit which was led by the General Director of The National Anti-Drugs Agency (NADA), YDH CP Dato’ Sri Zulkifli Abdullah, had successfully been held for three days and two nights in Kelantan Darul Naim. This visit came with a purpose of observing the progress of pilot project in Kelantan state as well as discussing some issues that are related to drugs smuggling in East Coast.

Besides that, several programmes were conducted such as casual chatting session with the community. This session was organized to both see and listen to drug abuse’s issues they had to face. Therefore, some of the root causes to this problem was identified and one of them was the society’s stigma towards former drug addict.

On the last day of the visit, a dialogue session between NADA’s General Director and a few departments’ heads as well as community’s leaders within Pengkalan Chepa’s area was held. This session carried an objective to discuss on the efforts in taking a drastic action to help the community in ensuring the area is free from drugs and substance’s abuse. This three-days working visit ended with a focus that was conveyed NADA’s General Director in asserting a change about society’s stigma in order to help the clients in undergoing a better and healthy lifestyle without drugs.
