KEPALA BATAS, March 19, 2023 – North Seberang Perai District Anti-Drugs SQUAD volunteers in collaboration with the North Seberang Perai District National Anti-Drugs Agency (NADA) organized the Penang State Level Anti-Drugs SQUAD Indoor Soccer Tournament Cup held at the Bertam Sports Complex Stadium, here today.

Four teams participated in the tournament, namely the North Seberang Perai District Anti-Drugs SQUAD; Northeast District Anti-Drugs SQUAD; Southwest District Anti-Drugs SQUAD and Seberang Perai Tengah District Anti-Drugs SQUAD.

According to Penang State NADA Director, Elmariah Chung, the program was implemented to produce active youth and share knowledge plus insight about the dangers of drugs.

Furthermore, he informed the role of Anti-Drugs SQUAD members is very important in helping NADA distribute information to the community and promote a healthy lifestyle through sports.

“The championship this year was won by the defending champion of the South West District Anti-Drugs SQUAD, the runner-up of the North Seberang Perai District Anti-Drugs SQUAD and third place was awarded to the Central Seberang Perai District Anti-Drugs SQUAD,” he said.

The prize giveaway ceremony for the winners was completed by the Penang State Anti-Drugs Squad Chairman, Khalid Zakaria.
