Security protocol guarantees client’s recovery process

AYER KEROH – October 21, 2022 – Director General National Anti-Drug Agency (NADA), Tuan Sutekno Ahmad Belon assure and emphasize that the security protocol is an important element in ensuring the many branch of Narcotic Addiction Rehabilitation Centers (PUSPEN) are safe and secure to guarantee the client’s recovery process during his speech to inaugurate the Joint Security ‘After Dinner Talk’ Program with the Directors of NADA in Melaka, on Thursday.

Tuan Sutekno said the security protocol indirectly helps the efforts to treat and recover clients who follow the Institutional Treatment and Rehabilitation program (RPDI) run smoothly and more effectively.

“As an officer it is my duty and responsibility to oversee the security aspects in management, those in charge holds a very important role in ensuring that control and safety are at their highest level.

“Furthermore, formation and recruitment of the security guards squad to carry out task and duty responsibly is based on the Director General Standing Orders (PTKP) and the current Guideline need to be memorize and at their finger-tip so that problem such as running away(escapee) and brawling within the institution can be avoided,” he said.

The purpose of the program was to provide a two-way communication platform between the top management of NADA together with the Assistant Director (Security) of PUSPEN and the Head of the Security Branch of PUSPEN (KCK) to enable officers to have a clear mind-set towards direction NADA is heading and be able to share ideas especially in term of matters related to the security of PUSPEN throughout the country.

He added, security guards are individuals who have a close relationship with the client due to their close proximity working area.

“There is no doubt, security guards play an important role to the safety and well-being of PUSPEN citizens.

“Therefore any action that goes against PTKP and the current Guidelines will certainly have a negative impact on the safety and well-being of PUSPEN citizens,” he said.

Also present were the Deputy Director General (Operations), Dato’ Dr Muhamad Sade Mohamad Amin and the Director of the Enforcement and Security Division, Azmi Mustapa.
