KEPALA BATAS,  March 12, 2023 – Kayuhan Hijaukan Kawasan Berisiko Tinggi (KBT) more than 40 participants was involved starting from Dewan Dato’ Haji Ismail Che’ Chik, Bakau Tua, Penaga it was organized by volunteers from the North Seberang Perai District Anti-Drugs Squad in collaboration with the National Anti-Drugs Agency (NADA) North Seberang Perai District and Majlis Pengurusan Komuniti Kampung (MPKK) Bakau Tua.

The 15 KM cycling event was carried out by tracing Kampung Permatang Rawa; Kampung Permatang Rawa Tepi Laut; Kampung Pasir Gebu; Kampung Sungai Kedak; Kampung Permatang Bendahari; Kampung Pulau Mertajam and Kampung Kuala Muda which are KBT in Mukim 1.

The relaxing cycle aims to promote healthy lifestyle practices without drugs with the theme ‘Lebih Baik Cegah’ and deliver the message ‘Pencegahan Dadah Bermula Di Rumah’ to the local community in conjunction with the Anti-Drugs Day Commemoration 2023.

In addition, a small offering in the form of ‘bakul makanan Ziarah Kasih Jejak Klien’ donations to the heirs and families of clients selected in KBT Mukim 1, Seberang Perai Utara District.

North Seberang Perai District NADA head, Rokeman Ramli and North Seberang Perai District Anti-Drugs Squad Chairman, MD Shukriey also participated in the cycling event this year.

According to Rokeman, the program was held to strengthen relations with the local community and ensure that the local community is always aware of drug problems and he hope that we can develop an environment that practices a healthy and active lifestyle.

“The members of the Anti-Drugs Squad role is very important as an agent of disseminating information to all communities in creating a civil society (MADANI) and awareness to the drug problem,” he said.
