ALOR SETAR, July 17 2023 – The Director General of the National Anti-Drugs Agency (NADA), Mr. Sutekno Ahmad Belon said that the implementation of the Competency Strengthening Workshop for the Heads of the District and State of NADA Rehabilitation Units is seen to be able to transform the agency’s officers to be more competent and viable while on and off work duty.
He said, this is because the effort is able to produce officers who are not only skilled, but are able to carry out their duties and responsibilities more effective and efficient.

“Two important elements are obtained through the implementation of such workshop, which is a sharing session to transform the officers of NADA into a more skilled individuals and create a diverse work stigma of cooperation within the framework of NADA’s role and functionality.
“Through this element, I am confident that all participants will be able to do group activities and share expertise based on their respective experiences.
“In addition, this step is seen to be able to create the value of cooperation for all NADA citizens and does not differentiate the cluster of officers at the headquarters, state, district offices or Narcotic Addiction Rehabilitation Centre (PUSPEN),” he said during a dialogue session in conjunction with the Rehabilitation Unit Head Competency Strengthening Workshop District and State NADA North Region in Alor Setar, Kedah on Monday.
Also present was the Director of NADA’s Treatment, Medicine and Rehabilitation Division, Siti Mariam Mursidan; NADA Chief Assistant Director (Community Rehabilitation), Dr. Nazira Sadiron; Kedah State NADA Director, Abdul Hamediee Ibrahim; Perlis State NADA Director, Khairul Anuar Ahmad and Penang State NADAD director, Elmariah Chung.
Furthermore, Sutekno said, the implementation of the workshops can also open up opportunities for all the officers to improve their abilities in crucial core areas.
“When they have high confidence, I believe they can decipher the knowledge gained through this workshop into the implementation of work duties and responsibilities in their respective centers,” he said.
