PCDM trust assurance, towards NADA clients negative stigma

PEKAN, March 10, 2023 – The Pahang State National Anti-Drugs Agency (NADA) is organizing the Sentuhan Nurani Punch Card di Masjid Program (PCDM) for clients in the community (RPDK) at the Sultan Ahmad Shah Al-Haj Mosque, Pekan, Pahang.

The program in collaboration with the Pahang Mufti Office, Pahang Council of Islamic Religion and Malay Customs (MUIP), Pahang Department of Islamic Religion (JAIP) carried out for five days since last Monday with the aim of promoting mosques through religious practices such as congregational prayers, Maghrib lectures, Al-Quran classes, qiamullail, sports and leisure.

The program, attended by 30 clients in the community, was seen to be able to increase the trust  issue within the community thus reducing the negative stigma towards clients, especially those who follow NADA’s Treatment and Rehabilitation in the Community (RPDK) program.

In addition, the hard work and effort of the program is to develop Muslim traits and personality deem noble, have good character and love the teachings of Islam, especially the love for the mosque in order to maintain their physical and spiritual recovery.

Earlier, the Chief Assistant Mufti of Pahang State Fatwa Reference Division, Ustaz Shaharuddin Muhammad Nor was present to officiate the program.

Ustaz Shaharuddin said that such program needs to be expanded and continued in the future because it has positive impact on all parties, especially NADA clients.

“I congratulate Pahang State NADA and the head office for implementing the program of spreading information plus knowledge to those who needed guidance to become a good Muslims and benefit the community,” he said.

Also, present were the Deputy Director General (Operations), Dato’ Dr. Muhamad Sade Mohamad Amin; Chief Assistant Director (Religion), Nor Aimi Mohd Tahir and Pahang State AADK Director, Zirwatul Ahlam Zamzam.
