NADA, UPM Sign Letter Of Intent (LOI) In Inventing I-Pulih Application

SHAH ALAM – Mesyuarat Majlis Tindakan Membanteras Dadah (MTMD) Negeri Selangor Bilangan 1 Tahun 2021 which was chaired by YB Dato’ Nor Azmi Diron, the Government Secretary of Selangor in Concorde Hotel, on Friday.

The meeting came with a purpose of discussing the issues of drugs and substances’ abuse, social diversion as well as the actions needed to overcome them.

The meeting was attended by YBrs Tuan Sutekno Ahmad Belon, the General Director of National Anti-drugs Agency (NADA), YBhg. Prof. Dato’ Dr. Zulkifli Idrus, Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM)’s Chancellor Second Deputy (Research and Innovation) together with related department heads.

From the meeting, drugs and substances’ abuse as well as social diversion were discussed thoroughly.

Opinions and suggestions that can be done to fight drugs’ addiction and abuse were also added in the meeting’s highlights in order to achieve Selangor Sejahtera Tanpa Dadah and Dadah Terkawal 2025.

At the same time, the event of signing the Letter of Intent  (LOI) between NADA and UPM was also held and witnessed by Nor Azmie.

According to Nor Azmie, this program was the treatment and rehabilitation’s digital transformation through the i-Pulih application.

“All in all, it proves that Selangor government state is always committed and often contributes solid support towards NADA, especially on prevention, enforcement as well as drug’s treatment and rehabilitation programs.

“The launching of i-Pulih application carries the hope for NADA and UPM to dig and polish the talent and true potential in clients by highlighting that talent in order to continue surviving and remain abstinent throughout the supervision’s phase,” he said.

Nor Azmie added, through the approach of i-Pulih, it was hoped for more Non-Government Organizations (NGO) and other government agencies to come forward and work together in ensuring the initiative to overcome drugs’ abuse can be proceeded with more comprehensively.

Previously, the letter was signed by Sutekno which was representing NADA while from UPM’s side, it was represented by Zulkifli.
