NADA, SPRM sign a collaboration agreement of free bribery and drugs

Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (SPRM) and National Anti-drugs Agency (NADA) sign a collaboration agreement of Tempat Kerja Bebas Dadah (TEKAD) in effort to ensure SPRM’s staffs are free from any drug’s issues.

Deputy Chief of Commissioner (Prevention) SPRM, Datuk Seri Norazlan Mohd Razali says, the collaboration agreement resembles the commitment from both parties in ensuring government agencies specifically SPRM to be free from any drug’s influence.

“This collaboration agreement is a symbol of commitment between both parties in ensuring government agencies specifically SPRM to be free from any drug’s influence. As we all know, drug is the main threat to moral issues and crimes in this country.

“Starting from drug’s abuse, it can cause other crimes such as robbery, stealing, breach of trust and bribery which can bring to murder,” he explains.

Norazlan expresses that his party welcomes NADA’s support to work closely with SPRM involving several matters such as helping in managing drug’s rehabilitation program for any officers who are diagnosed positive in drug’s abuse. – NADA photos Muhammad Rashdan Mohd Zakaria / Amir Zahien Amran

He says so during his speech representing SPRM’s Chief Commissioner, Tan Sri Azam Baki during Majlis Menandatangani Nota Kerjasama Tempat Kerja Bebas Dadah (TEKAD) between SPRM and NADA in conjunction with NADA’s Monthly Assembly March 2022 in NADA’s headquarters recently.

Also present during the ceremony are Deputy Chief of Commissioner (Management and Professionalism) SPRM, Dato’ Junipah Wandi, NADA’s General Director, Tuan Sutekno Ahmad Belon and NADA’s Deputy General Director (Operation), Dato’ Dr. Muhamad Sade Mohamad Amin.

Explaining further on the abuse of mentioned forbidden substance, Norazlan highlights that SPRM’s staffs are also not excluded from drug’s threat which carries huge risk and impact towards the organization.

Therefore, SPRM welcome warmly of NADA’s support to work together with SPRM in several matters.

“I am very delighted with NADA’s willingness to work closely with SPRM and help us in giving training to SPRM’s officers in conducting urine tests and assisting us to manage drug’s rehabilitation programs should there be any of our officers are tested positive in drug’s abuse.

“This includes, helping both parties in promoting their departments respectively to create a drug-free workplace and rejecting bribery within other government staffs and the society.

“Not excluding in sharing skills, specialties, information and asset usage in order to ensure a workplace free from drug and bribery,” he mentions.
