NADA Regional agency as ‘frontlines’ first responder

KUALA SELANGOR, 12 January 2023 – The National Anti-Drug Agency (NADA) office district across the country act as the front-line barrier as the party that carries out the responsibility of treating, preventing and enforcing the law against the issue of drug addiction.

They operate the Rawatan dan Pemulihan Dalam Komuniti program (RPDK) and have the most number of clients compared to the Pusat Pemulihan Penagihan Narkotik (PUSPEN) which runs the Rawatan dan Pemulihan Dalam Institusi (RPDI).

Moreover, NADA officer personnel in district level need to be taught properly to further strengthen system governance and delivery services in efforts to achieve key performance indicators (KPI) which is to reduce the addiction rate and increase the recovery rate.

The matter was emphasized by Tuan Sutekno Ahmad Belon in his first Working Visit session by the Director General of NADA this year at the NADA office branches in Sabak Bernam and Kuala Selangor Districts.

Earlier, Tuan Sutekno attend to the briefing and heard the planning of NADA Sabak Bernam and Kuala Selangor Districts presented by the respective NADA District Leaders.

In addition, he also conducted an environmental survey of the office area, facilities and projects at NADA district.

Also present were the Enforcement and Security Division Director, Azmi Mustafa, NADA Integrity Unit Director, Zulfikri Ab Manaf and Selangor State NADA Director, Nazir Mohamad.
