NADA Contributes In Giving Information On Drug Abuse

Kajang, September 23rd, 2021 – In an effort to channel information related to drug abuse, National Anti-drugs Agency (NADA) takes initiative in organizing Walking Message Program and Omnipresence recently.

It aims to give exposure towards the community about drug abuse as well as providing education on drug abuse’s prevention in order to ensure this matter is under control.

The program runs smoothly and comes with a two-way interaction when NADA joins the community and public in several locations in 4 different states.

In Wilayah Perseketuan Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya, approximately around eight locations have been selected such as Galleria Putrajaya Holding Presint 4, KLCC Park, Kawasan Inisiatif Bersepadu (KIB) Setapak, Projek Perumahan Rakyat (PPR) Gombak Setia, PPR Kerinchi and Flat Dewan Bandaraya Kuala Lumpur (DBKL).

Meanwhile, 22 recreational parks and public markets in Selangor have been visited by NADA’s team. Some of them are Pantai Remis, Bukit Melawati, Kompleks Bangi Gateway, Kawasan Perkelahan Alor Lempah, Pasar Tani PJS, Pasar Tani Taman Muda and Taman Rimba Templer

The initiative is to build relationship with the community to help in supplying information to NADA and authorities to overcome the issue of drug abuse and social diversion in Selangor.

In Kelantan, it is recorded of 38 Omnipresence activities as well as 15 Walking Street Message activities have been conducted including in six different areas which are Tumpat, Kota Bharu, Kuala Krai, Tanah Merah, Pasir Puteh, and Bachok on 2021, August 10th until 2021, September 20th.

Besides that, public markets, supermarkets, food stalls, and barbers in Pahang are among the most searched locations during the conduction of Walking Message and Omnipresence programs.

In addition, the activities are also being done around the beach and recreational areas such as Pantai Teluk Cempedak, Pantai Rompin, Taman Tasik Maran, and Taman Esplanade.
