DENGKIL 17 January 2023 – The National Anti-Drugs Agency (NADA) is one of the agencies involved in road safety enforcement through the Operasi Bersepadu and Kempen Keselamatan Jalan Raya under the Ministry of Transport (MOT).
The Minister of Transport, YB Tuan Loke Siew Fook said, this year, four main programs are outlined by the ministry, namely the Education and Advocacy Program, Enforcement, Prevention and Monitoring and Evaluation.
“The programs are a continuous effort by the Government to reduce the rate of accidents and deaths on the road, as well as regulate the movement of vehicles to reduce traffic congestion, especially during the festive season.
“The Ministry through the Jabatan Pengangkutan Jalan (JPJ), Government agencies and Private Companies as well as certain non-governmental organizations (NGOs) will take the initiative to implement the Operasi Bersepadu and Kempen Keselamatan Jalan Raya .
“In line with the main objective, this year campaign theme remain the same which is ‘ Pandu Cermat, Sampai Selamat’,”he said while officiating the campaign at the Rehat dan Rawat (R&R) Dengkil Arah Utara area on Tuesday.”
Meanwhile, the Minister of Public work, YB Dato’ Sri Alexander Nanta Linggi reminded all high road users to check their vehicles to ensure that the condition and performance are always perfect and safe to drive.
“I believe that with the strong support of various security agencies such as the Royal Malaysian Police, Road Transport Department Malaysia, the Malaysian Fire and Rescue Department and other enforcement agencies, traveling using the highway is much safer than the normal routes.” he said.
Earlier, YB Tuan Loke Siew and YB Dato’ Sri Alexander Nanta completed the check and release of vehicles involved in road safety enforcement including NADA.
Also present were NADA Chief Assistant Director (Complaints and Intelligence), Hamizan Haidzir and Selangor State NADA Director, Nazir Mohamad.
