MTMD: Three proposal were approved by the Negeri Sembilan Government

SEREMBAN, March 14, 2023  – Three proposal paper namely the Hala Tuju dan Pelan Tindakan Dadah Terkawal Negeri Sembilan, Program Remaja Universiti Sihat dan Karnival Kesihatan Untuk Rakyat ‘Sempena Hari Hepatitis C dan AIDS Sedunia’ and Pelan Tindakan Penghijauan Kawasan Berisiko Tinggi (KBT) daerah were approved through the Negeri Sembilan volume 1 Mesyuarat Tindakan Membanteras Dadah (MTMD) at Dato’ Klana Petra Room, Seremban City Council, Seremban here today.

The Minister of Negeri Sembilan, YAB Dato’ Seri Aminuddin Harun who chaired the meeting agreed with the two out of the three proposal papers to ensure Negeri Sembilan is free from the problem of drug abuse in the region.

Dato’ Seri Aminuddin said, the concept of ‘door to door’ service needs to be expanded because it has a direct positive impact on clients in need.

He also suggested that every department and agency should treat their clients regularly up to the grassroots level so that the people of Negeri Sembilan receive and have knowledge of the service we deliver.

The first proposal paper, the Hala Tuju dan Pelan Tindakan Dadah Terkawal Negeri Sembilan, which was presented by the National Anti-Drugs Agency (NADA) to draw up action plan ranging through four phases, namely cleaning the area, intervention, strengthening and retention.

The phase includes deciding the supply and demand chain of drugs, intervention to target groups and areas affected by drug issues and target groups follow-up in term of strengthening protective factors and obstacle.

The second consideration paper supported is Program Remaja Universiti Sihat dan Karnival Kesihatan Untuk Rakyat sempena Hari Hepatitis C dan AIDS Sedunia which focuses on the prevention of HIV infection among the public and students of Public and Private University.

Moreover, the last proposal paper Pelan Tindakan Penghijauan Kawasan Berisiko Tinggi (KBT) Daerah was approved in hope to achieve penghijauan process more systematically and provide anti-drug programs to the community.

Present were the Negeri Sembilan Deputy Government Secretary (Development), YB Dato’ Muhamad Nahar Mohd Sidek; Deputy Director General (Operations) of NADA, Dato’ Dr Muhamad Sade Mohamad Amin and Director of NADA Negeri Sembilan, Dr. Hadijah Baba.
