KANGAR, May 11, 2023 – Two consideration papers were presented in the Perlis State Anti-Drugs Action Council Meeting (MTMD) Number 1, 2023 here today.

The papers are related to the Controlled Drugs, Prosperous Perlis (DTPS) 2025 program and the Digitization Project on Drug Prevention Education Program (e-PPDa).

The first paper was presented by the National Anti-Drugs Agency (NADA) while the second paper was from the Perlis State Education Department.

In addition, the meeting held was informed on the current situation report on drug addiction and trafficking in the state of Perlis presented by NADA and the Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM).

Furthermore, two additional information papers was presented, namely the Perlis State Level Public Opinion Survey 2022 Findings on Ketum Abuse Among Perlis Residents from the National Population and Family Development Board (LPPKN) and Drug Enforcement Actions in Malaysia-Thailand Waters by the Maritime Enforcement Agency Malaysia (APMM) State of Perlis.

Also present at the meeting were the Minister of Perlis, YAB Tuan Mohd Shukri Ramli; NADA Deputy Director General (Operations), Dato’ Dr. Muhamad Sade Mohamad Amin; Perlis State NADA Director, Khairul Anwar Ahmad and Bukit Chabang Narcotics Addiction Rehabilitation Center (PUSPEN) Director, Mohamad Zaki Farkhi Ahmad.
