MTMD Negeri Sembilan targets greening upon two in 2022

SEREMBAN, March 15th, 2022 – National Anti-drugs Agency (NADA) aims for greening upon two High-Risk Areas (KBT) which are in Mukim Rompin, Jempol and Mukim Ampangan, Seremban in 2022.

Negeri Sembilan’s Chief Minister, YAB Dato’ Seri Aminuddin Harun says, the target is set after Mukim Gemencheh has succeeded in achieving green status based on greening criterias of drug abuse’s KBT in 2021.
YAB Dato’ Seri Aminuddin says, he is certain that with the power of ‘Political will’ and the support of society leader’s work hard in combatting drug abuse can be done with excellence.

He highlights that a firm support from Yang Berhormat Ahli-ahli Parlimen and Yang Berhormat Ahli Dewan Undangan Negeri (ADUN) in all districts of Negeri Sembilan will be able to produce anti-drug programs with high impacts.

He says so while chairing Mesyuarat Majlis Tindakan Membanteras Dadah (MTMD) Negeri Sembilan Bilangan 1 2022, in here on Tuesday.

Also present in the meeting is Negeri Sembilan’s Government Secretary, YB. Dato’ Dr Razali Ab. Malik, NADA’s General Director, Tuan Sutekno Ahmad Belon and NADA Negeri Sembilan’s Director, Dr. Hadijah Baba.

Explaining further, YAB Dato’ Seri Aminuddin mentions, 2022 KBT’s Greening Action Plan needs to be moved with teamwork to ensure the drug abuse’s issue in both areas can be controlled.

“I hope that Jempol’s District Officer, Seremban’s District Officer and all agencies related can together work on this 2022 KBT’s Greening Action Plan.

“I was informed that the greening effort in Mukim Ampangan has been actively implemented by Yang Berhormat Dato’ Haji Mohamad Taufek Bin Abd Ghani, the Action Committee’s President of Sport and Youth Development who is also the President of MTMD District Level and Ahli Dewan Undangan Negeri (DUN) Paroi.

“I welcome upon collaboration from all government agencies or departments, private sector, non-governmental organizations (NGO) as well as society’s leader in each drug prevention’s programs which are conducted in Negeri Sembilan in effort to make Controlled Drugs 2025 comes true,” he says.

Meanwhile, he also takes the chance to wish on National Anti-drug Day’s Celebration in conjunction with National Anti-drug Remembrance Day which is celebrated on February 19th, with the theme of “Lebih Baik Cegah” and it focuses on Keluarga Malaysia with the issue of synthetic drug’s abuse.

He explained, various activities and interactive programs involving all levels of target group within community have been arranged to enliven the celebration of Anti-drug Day this year.

In related progress, during MTMD Negeri Sembilan Bilangan 1 2022, YAB Dato’ Seri Aminuddin also hands Sistem Client Capital Recovery Empowerment (MyCARE) to Tuan Sutekno in replacing the manual system.

The implementation of the program not only helps client in form of rehabilitation treatment, but it also focuses on career development, knowledge, skills, family, health and comfortable shelter.

“It is hoped that through MyCare system, NADA Negeri Sembilan can give impacts towards the reducing of repetitive addiction rate (relapse) and the increasing of individuals, family and community welfare.

“Not excluding of brining back clients as individuals who can serve well in the society and remain cured and responsible,” he explain
