Make PUSPEN an education hub for client

JELI, Oct 30, 2022 – The National Anti-Drug Agency (NADA) intends to turn all Drug Addiction Rehabilitation Centers (PUSPEN) into educational centers in the pursuit of treatment and recovery for those afflicted with drug addiction.

Director General of NADA, Tuan Sutekno Ahmad Belon said, in order to achieve the goal, NADA is working to develop syllabus for the nine components that are suited for clients and revealed through the i-Pulih Model AADK.

He said, the initiative is to ensure the process of treating the client’s recovery is more systematic and effective during a working visit at PUSPEN, Jeli on Sunday.

Moreover, he visited the PUSPEN grounds which were the client’s dormitory, vocational skills workshop, client’s treatment room and the activity hall.

During the work visit, a briefing session by the Director of PUSPEN Jeli, Aman Mustapha was conducted on the operation and working schedule.

As well as, dialogue session between the Director General and Jeli District NADA employees, on work operations delivered by Jeli District AADK Chief, Mohd Aris Fadzillah Mohamad Hassan.

In conclusion, Tuan Sutekno had the opportunity to visit the Jeli district office to oversee the work done by the officials at the district level.

Also present were Kelantan State NADA Director, Rohayu Ahmad, PUSPEN Director Bachok, Nor Haffiza Ibrahim and Kota Bharu PUSPEN Director, Siti Rugayah Ismail.
