JKPD Brickfields Focuses On Job Placement Program, Business Opportunities For Clients Within Community

KUALA LUMPUR, October 16th 2021 – National Anti-drugs Agency (NADA) stayed committed in giving out prevention message on drug abuse towards all layers of society.

One of it was the implementation of Omnipresent and Outreach Program which focuses on community area and public targeted locations.

Besides conveying information on the danger of drugs, the outreach program also came with a purpose to share on information related to the voluntary service of treatment and rehabilitation provided by NADA.

Hence, with effort to achieve the vision of Controlled Drugs 2025, NADAโ€™s Brickfieldsโ€™ staffs together with Persatuan Penduduk Projek Perumahan Rakyat (PPR) Kerinchi and Jawatankuasa Pemulihan Dadah (JKPD) Brickfields held an Omnipresence and Outreach Program in PPR Kerinchiโ€™s area in here, previous October 16th.

President of JKPD Brickfields, Wadi Hamdan said, the implementation of this program was indirectly helping to enhance the role of JKPD in drafting proactive strategy for outdoor programs especially ones which involved clients within community in high-risk areas.

โ€œJKPDโ€™s staffs will focus more on job placement programs as well as business opportunities for clients within community who live around Lembah Pantai area, Kuala Lumpur.โ€

โ€œBesides cooperation from various parties, commitment from clients is also significant in creating change to a better lifestyle, and retains rehabilitation at a same time,โ€ he mentioned.

He said so during Omnipresence and Outreach Program in PPR Kerinchi.

Also present in the program was Lembah Pantaiโ€™s Parliament Member, Fahmi Fadzil.

This included a representative from Royal Malaysia Police, Kuala Lumpur City Council, Department of Social Welfare, Department of Youth and Sports, NADAโ€™s Wilayah Persekutuan Squad, Peer Counselling Association as well clients within NADAโ€™s Brickfields community.
