JAKIM Sarawak, NADA organize a discussion forum on real sacrification

KUCHING, 12 July 2022 – A forum titled “The Real Sacrification” was conducted as part of the Keluarga Malaysia Safari programme 2022 by the National Anti-Drugs Agency (NADA), the Department of Islamic Development Malaysia (JAKIM) Sarawak.

The forum, which was held in conjunction with the Muslim holiday of Eid Adha, covered a variety of topics linked to sacrifice in the context of client recovery in NADA organisations.

The Sarawak State Mufti, Datu Kipli Yassin, and Celebrity Preacher, Ustazah Isfadiah Mohd Dasuki were on the panel at the forum, which was held at Pusat Pemulihan Penagihan Narkotik (PUSPEN) Kuching in Puncak Borneo. The NADA Religious Affairs Officer, Ustaz Afifuddin Abdulmuiz bin Hamid, served as the moderator.

This religious programme is one of the elements in the NADA i-Pulih Module’s spiritual aspect that aims to give clients who are going through the recovery process moral and spiritual support.

Earlier, Ustaz Hamdan Jar’ee, Director of JAKIM Sarawak, and clients of the facility joined NADA Director General Tuan Sutekno Ahmad Belon to perform Maghrib prayer together.

The Sarawak State NADA Director, Iskandar Turkee, the Director of Pusat Pemulihan Penagihan Narkotik (PUSPEN), Kuching, and the Director of NADA’s Treatment, Medical and Rehabilitation Division, Siti Mariam Mursidan, were all there to ensure the program’s success.
