Idea, expertise from NADA’s retired staffs is welcomed

KAJANG, November 1st, 2021 – Deputy Minister of Home Affairs II, Datuk Jonathan Yasin hopes for retired National Anti-drugs Agency (NADA)’s staffs to stay active in contributing ideas and expertise in effort to achieve Controlled Drugs 2025 vision.

According to him, the effort is indirectly helping to decrease Drug Abuse and Addiction’s Threshold Value to the level of 400 people for each 100,000 residents and Recovery Amount around 75 percent.

“NADA’s role as a main agency in exterminating the abuse and addiction of drugs and substance through the approach of prevention, recovery treatment and enforcement of law will always be top priority of this agency (NADA).

“This responsibility and role are parallel with Malaysia’s Family Aspiration based on NADA’s 2021-2025 Strategic Plan Document and Ministry of Home Affairs (MOHA) Strategic Plan,”

He says that in his speech during Retirement Ceremony 2021 as a symbol of appreciation for 84 officers and staffs of NADA who have contributed a lot throughout their service period with the agency.

Besides that, Jonathan mentions, engagement sessions with civil community and public must be conducted consistently.

The initiative carries a purpose to allow NADA in gathering accurate responses and feedbacks from the community to improve the services from time to time.

Present in the ceremony which comes with the theme ‘Sulaman Kasih, Junjungan Budi’ are Deputy Head Secretary (Security) MOHA, Dato Abdul Halim Abdul Rahman and General Director of NADA, Tuan Sutekno Ahmad Belon.

This includes Deputy General Director (Management) NADA, Chan Hong Jin and Deputy General Director (Operation) NADA, Dato’ Dr. Muhamad Sade Mohamad Amin.

Previously, during the working visit Jonathan is also given a briefing regarding NADA’s working and operation plan besides conveying mandate towards the agency’s staffs.

In addition, he also takes the chance to launch the new Official Website of NADA.
