Courtesy call to National Youth and Sports Department

PUTRAJAYA, 8 July 2022 – The National Anti-Drugs Agency (NADA) paid a courtesy call on the Director General of the National Youth and Sports Department, Tuan Mohd Azhari Mohammad and a delegation at the Ministry of Youth and Sports Malaysia Tower here recently.

In the course of the one-hour meeting, NADA under the direction of Dato’ Dr. Muhamad Sade Mohamad Amin, NADA Deputy Director General (Operations), covered a number of topics to fortify the two sides’ current strategic partnership.

Several topics were covered, including fresh tactics and initiatives for helping young people who are struggling with drug abuse.

Additionally, NADA’s preventative initiatives are being introduced, and they specifically target young people and include volunteers.

An introduction to treatment and rehabilitation methods that emphasize skills as a subject is also included. The goal is to make sure that both community-based and institutionalized clients can live regular lives and maintain lifelong recovery.

The NADA also suggested that a letter of collaboration be written between its organisation and the National Department of Youth and Sports in order to achieve the objectives of Dadah Terkawal 2025.

Zainuddin Abdullah, director of prevention for NADA, and Chong Siew Ngoh, Chief Assistant Director of Vocational Skills for NADA’s treatment, medicine, and rehabilitation division, also took part in the courtesy call.
