Cooperation enforced, two way communication

SINGAPORE, 9 September 2022 – Malaysia and Singapore are committed to intensify cooperation and bilateral relations in efforts to combat drug abuse involving the two countries. The matter was revealed through the work visit by Director General of the National Anti-Drug Agency (NADA), Tuan Sutekno Ahmad Belon on Wednesday prior two days during his time in Singapore.

In addition to hosting the Bilateral Meetings, they also held courtesy visits at several drug facilities such as the Singapore Prison Service (SPS) at Selarang Park Complex, Singapore Anti-Narcotics Association (SANA), Central Narcotics Bureau (CNB) and Pertapis Halfway House Singapore. (Pertapis).

The work visit aims to strengthen cooperation and share expertise, experience and exchange ideas between the two countries in the mission to combat drug addiction and abuse. Multiple points are highlighted and shared, especially issue pertaining prevention, treatment and recovery as well as enforcement and security.
