PULAU PINANG, 20 April – YAB Tuan Chow Kon Yeow, Ketua Menteri Pulau Pinang had successfully chaired Majlis Tindakan Membanteras Dadah (MTMD) Volume 1/2021 within Pulau Pinang zone which was held in Bilik Gerakan Pejabat Ketua Menteri, Kompleks Tun Abdul Razak (Komtar), Georgetown, here on Tuesday.

The meeting was held with the intention of discussing about issues that were related to drugs and substance’s abuse, as well as social diversion together with actions needed to overcome them.

Those who were also present in the meeting were YBrs Tuan Sutekno Ahmad Belon, National Antidrug Agency (NADA)’s General Director, Puan Elmariah Chung, Director of NADA Pulau Pinang and several representatives from different departments and government agencies from centres and states.

Besides the meeting, the General Director had also conducted a two-days’ work visit to this Pearl Island which started yesterday in order to view and observe the operation of NADA’s branch office and district in this state.

In this work visit, he was also present in Ramah Mesra program with the staffs of NADA’s state branch and later on visited five district offices which were NADA Timur Laut District; NADA Seberang Perai Utara District; NADA Seberang Perai Selatan District and NADA Seberang Perai Tengah District, NADA Barat Daya District as well as NADA’s state branch.
