Borneo Zone NADA Intelligence Officer Empowerment Program 2022

KOTA KINABALU, 10 August 2022 – The Borneo Zone NADA Intelligence Officer Empowerment Program was successfully executed here in association with the Narcotics Criminal Investigation Department (JSJN), the Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM), and the Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency (APMM).

Twenty NADA representatives from Sabah and Sarawak participated in the five-day training in total.

The collaboration was put into place to concentrate on intelligence, operations, and additional investigation aspects in the handling of drug cases, taking into consideration the skills that each NADA officer who is directly involved in the activity of tracking people suspected of being involved in drug or substance abuse should have.

The trainees were exposed to a variety of procedures throughout the programme, including information verification, handling sources and informants, surveillance, disguising oneself, interrogation, and the creation of comprehensive files.

First Admiral (M) Ahmad Faridi Ferdaus, the APMM’s Director of the Maritime Crime Investigation Division, completed the Closing Inauguration Ceremony.
