KANGAR, 27 August 2022 – An estimation of 400 clients including their families attended the ‘Family Fun Day’ Recovery Aspiration Program organized by the Perlis National Anti-Drug Agency (NADA) which was held at Tasik Melati Recreation Park, kangar.
The program is held to integrate specific targeted group in public activities so that they can function healthier in a community group environment.
Director of NADA Treatment, Medicine and Rehabilitation Division, Siti Mariam Mursidan said, the program is able to sculpt the client’s identity while altering their behaviour to maintain recovery through family institutions based on NADA i-Pulih Model approach.
“The outcome from the effort is to form and strengthen family relationships towards build the client’s identity and to recover fully.
“In addition, I believe through the programs, we can also foster awareness and knowledge about the effects of drugs on health, acquire knowledge and skills as well as guidance on parenting guideline, financial management and stress management,” he said.
He added, during his inaugurate speech on the ‘Family Fun Day’ Recovery Aspiration Program here on Saturday. Through the program, various activities were held covering multiple key component of the NADA i-Pulih Model such as physical and discipline structure, social and recreation as well as community integration.
Also present to make the program a success was the Chief Assistant Director (Community Rehabilitation), Dr Nazira Sadiron.
